Founder and Director of Still Standing, a Mozambican platform with focus in education through arts, conservation, publishing, and body & mind conditioning. 

Born and raised in Mozambique, Saranga's expertise is in holistic approaches to education towards promoting social inclusion and equity, and gender equality.

​

Since 2014, Saranga has been focused in developing the Joy Of Life Niassa (Niassa National Reserve) and the Opening Doors program – two programs that provides tools and passes skills to thousands of students in Niassa National Reserve, the Namaacha Valley elephant corridor, and Maputo so that they are able to better observe and interpret the world around them (social, political, environmental phenomena, etc.) today and in the future. Both programs are developed in rural and urban areas, in partnership with other NGOs (Niassa Lion Program and Mozambique Wildlife Alliance) and beneficiary communities.

 

In 2025, Saranga launched Still standing in the Inhambane Hope Spot, and in the Macossa-Tambara Ecosystem in partnership with Associacao NATURA Mocambique.

Saranga’s belief and passion for Education led him to expand his area of ​​activity into publications, being editor of 6 publications to date.

​

Oriented towards organizing with objectives, Saranga has lent his knowledge 4 times as a Team Coordinator from top basketball African teams, and he is 3 times champion of the most important African club basketball competition organized by the NBA - The Basketball Africa League.
