No single protected area stands in isolation, alone. And how water flows across artificial boundaries can be so revealing about how living systems are connected. All of this life - and what sustains it - is woven together with a complexity that still evades scientists. But one thing we know, without water many of these landscapes, and the astounding biodiversity that exists here, would collapse.
